Undertakes education support duties and assist the Instructors in the day to day needs of the students, to enable the Instructors to implement the curriculum and respond to the students’ needs and to maintain complete confidentiality on all school matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Discuss assigned duties with classroom Instructors in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
Tutors and assists students individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by Instructor.
Assists in creating a learning environment where students are valued and encouraged to learn.  Comments to the students are phrased in a positive, constructive manner, highlighting both strengths and areas of improvement needed.
Provides students with an understanding of how they will use the course material in a work environment.
Assists in enforcing classroom and dress code policies.
Assists instructors with maintaining student records; grade assignments and exams, and compute and record results, using grading rubrics.
Supports instructors in photocopying, filing and other tasks in order to support teaching.
Assists with placing new supplies in stock room or classroom. Help with classroom inventory at the end of each term.
Manages all proctoring duties, including: proctoring students while taking make-up exams, ensuring all testing materials are in the proctor box, documenting student’s make-up exams, and coordinating with faculty as needed.
Keeps student files up to date; make new student labels and files each term.
Files graded assignments and immunizations.
Attends weekly faculty meetings.
Obtains necessary industry certifications as determined by the Institution.  
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
A diploma or associates degree with an industry certification related to field of study. 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
One or more industry certifications are required to demonstrate proficiency in the area of instruction or degree in a field related to the area of instruction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and move about the classroom and/or lab.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.  The employee must be able to communicate verbally via telephone and face-to-face.

The work performed is carried out in an office and classroom setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.  There are limited environmental hazards.
